Trying to just blend in (Open)

Aki sipped her coffee as she sat on the steps to the school. Sure she should be in school, but the bell was just about to ring for lunch anyways. Closing her eyes she sighed and took a deep breath. This was her last year after all and she was almost done with it all.

The bell was almost like music to her ears. She watched the students as most of them grabbed their food and gathered in their usual groups. As usual, Aki being the outcast. But Aki preferred it that way. Running a hand down her hair, her dark eyes flickered around.

"Hey Aki! Why don't you apply for the open student council position, ne?" Kitalia asked as she sat down next to the girl. She had met the girl only a few times in the few classes they had together, when Kitalia actually bothered to show up instead of doing student council work, and had noticed her aura of calm water, it was refreshing, and intriguing. "I think you'd make a good representative."

Opening up her bento, she happily pulled out a pair of chopsticks her sister had placed inside. "Itadakimasu~" Kitalia happily chimed as she munched on one of the tamagoyaki pieces. "Want some, Aki? Nee-san made plenty today!"

Aki couldn't help but smile slightly. "I would, but it's my senior year. Why bother?" Aki looked up at the sky, "But I'll think about it." She added slightly as she took another sip of her coffee. She closed her eyes and reopened them within a few moments apart.

She shook her head, "I'm okay with my apple." She said as she grabbed her apple, tossing it in the air then catching it again before taking a bite out of it. "I'm not to hungry anyways." She smiled slightly to show it was okay. The truth was Aki hardly ate anything since she lived by herself and her mother was dead and all. "Explain Student Council to me, Kitalia." She said remembering the girls name easily.

"Well, we arrange for activities to go on and we make sure that students are enjoying themselves at school. If there's complaints about certain teachers or classes, we investigate and work with the teachers to make sure things are fair and that students will be able to understand the curriculum of the class. If your grades are always straight A's you get special privileges when you're on Student Council. Like how I managed to snag the position as student council president, I've always got high grades in my classes and I've never gotten anything less than 100% on anything. So I can skip class to make sure all the work that has to be done gets done. I go around announcing events. You'd be able to skip classes too as a member of student council. Normally we all eat lunch together in the student council room, but I wanted to eat lunch out here instead. Besides, you looked lonely!" Kitalia explained with a grin.

Aki looked at her when she mentioned the words 'skip class' She smiled slightly 'Maybe it won't be too bad. It will help end this year faster.' "I guess it's a good thing I only have one B and the rest As, but the B should be up in no time." Aki said as she thought for a moment. "Sure why not." She finally said.

She closed her eyes once more taking a deep breath and for some reason smelling the ocean when it was no where close. But she never paid attention to that since she swore that she always could smell the ocean. "So how to I run for student council?" Aki asked.

"As no one else has shown interest in it, we're not going to bother with an election, so just fill out the application and I'll pull a few strings and make sure you're in." Kitalia explained with a grin. 'This way, I can see if you're a Zodiac or not.' She thought gleefully. "Besides, you get that B to an A and no one will have any question as to your eligibility."

Aki nodded, "Thanks. I'll get that application then." She then looked up at the sky, "You know what would be cool, if the school had a fountain. I'd be there everyday just cause." She laughed not realizing she was speaking out loud. She really didn't have any friends and usually she hardly talked to anyone because she didn't trust them, but for some reason she could trust Kitalia.

"So where is that application so I can just fill it quickly." She asked.

"I have plenty in my office! I always do, I'm planning to hand my position down to either that fiery girl Fyora Taiyou or that other spunky girl, Suzuka Etowaaru. You know, Suzuka used to be a yanki. It'd be interesting to see what she is capable of." Kitalia commented as she stood, she continued to munch on her lunch while leading Aki to her office. "I think a fountain in the courtyard and adding some more sakuras would be a good idea. It would be a more relaxing atmosphere, I'll leave the designing up to you, I'll find the workers and get the sakuras."

Aki smiled and laughed "Okay I'd love to design the fountain." She shook her head slightly, "Hmmm....I can't really say I know the two girls very well." She silently added, 'Mostly because I can't help but feel as if I know them when I don't.' She followed Kitalia and nodded, "How long s the application? I can probably finish it quickly, depending on how many pages and questions it asks."

"The only page you'll have to fill out is just the general one that everyone fills out with your personal information like phone number and address, that sort of thing. Then the rest of it is about your schedule and why you want to join student council." Kitalia explained. 'Just as I thought, she doesn't know them, but she says that like she does. I have a feeling those three are connected.' "They're just juniors this year, but they haven't said anything about joining Student Council yet."

Aki nodded, "I don't really hang out with a lot of people." She said with a shrug. Then sighed as she dug a pen out of her back pack. "I guess that is simple then." She said. "Let me guess you'll probably be talking them into joining." She said slightly. Unsure whether or not she really wanted to be around the two because she seemed to really open up and she hated that.

"Of course, the same with Nikojima Sekita~!" Kitalia explained happily as she finished her bento. "They're all juniors, but they're all quite interesting. I'd love to see those three as the next heads of the student council!" She was obviously scheming something, and she wasn't about to let her plans be seen so easily. 'If I have them where I can keep my eye on them, I won't have to worry about finding out if they're senshi or not, all will reveal itself when the Zodiacs are reunited.'

Aki nodded. "And here I am joining as a senior." She laughed. "Okay hand me the papers then." She said with a nod. Not looking too forward to seeing the three juniors. She then looked at Kitalia, "Why'd you ask me to join?" She asked "And why are the three juniors interesting?"

"Let's just say you each have admirable qualities I'd like to take advantage of and make this school worth while. Besides, I don't even have to take any college exams. I already know that I'm just going to take over my mother's title and all that, and my inheritance is more than enough for me to live on for the rest of my life." Kitalia stated with a shrug. "Besides, I'll just work at Club Ether when I graduate, just as something to keep me from getting bored." This was one time when Kitalia showed how different she was from most of the other students at the school. She was an heiress, while most of the students weren't.

Aki nodded. "I've really never been to Club Ether." She said with a shrug. When she heard the word mom she slightly looked away beginning to go back into her usual shell. Closing her eyes she took a few moments before she opened them again. "Will you take me to Club Ether?" She asked wondering if the girl would do so. She was curious.

"Sure, I'll even introduce you to Harlan and Dominic! Harlan is a bartender and bouncer, while Dominic is the owner. I can even get us into the VIP." Kitalia explained. "Harlan is the one that was with me the day I caused quite a stir by bringing someone to school with me. I've known him for a few years now, ironically, though we're only now becoming close. How about right after school we head over? Demi will be there, she co-owns the club in a sense, Dominic won't be there until after dark." She wasn't about to explain the whole of it, not until she saw if that girl really was what she was thinking. "But Demi is really cool too. My cousin, Kazuhiko, works there occasionally."

Aki nodded, "Cool then." She said. "It seems like you know everyone." She chuckled slightly. "Now it's called let's hope the rest of the day goes by quickly, although I don't have a last period...you?" She asked as she looked over. Her dark eyes seemed to brighten a little at the thought of going somewhere fun. "VIP...hmmmm." She wondered out loud and just shook her head slightly.

"Why don't we skip the rest of our classes? I'll just tell the teachers we were doing student council research." Kitalia suggested with a grin. "Besides, you don't want to go in your uniform and a trip to my closet would be worthwhile since we look to be the same size." It was obvious she had something up her sleeve, but just what it was, she wasn't about to tell.

Aki nodded not paying much attention. She'll do anything to skip school. "That sounds great!" She laughed. She looked at Kitalia not really realizing that something was going to happen. She was too busy thinking about the fact that ditching school was going to be nice.

Kitalia smiled and hurriedly finished up the few sheets of paperwork she had to do before writing down a quick note and hurrying out the door of her office, leaving the note taped to it, and after Aki was out she closed the door and locked it. "There, now all we have to do is call Kevin and he'll bring the limo around." Kitalia explained as she pulled out her cell phone.
